The co-curriculum is an exceptionally important part of a student's university experience and 利记sbo's Academic Promise.
While core and major/minor classes give students important knowledge, we also highly value the learning that students gain while outside the classroom engaging in the community and with colleagues and peers, and take pride in the opportunities we offer our students.
The 学生发展能力 address what the Office of Student Affairs believes is essential for a university student to add to their Utica education and become a proud graduate, 准备好征服他们的未来. The Student Affairs staff also supports the academic competencies that are being addressed primarily by the faculty (the five intellectual skills), as teaching of the student competencies in both realms are a shared responsibility. We are all educators and we take it upon ourselves to ensure that every student gets the most out of their University experience.
利记sbo offers all students the chance to learn more about themselves and how they can make an impact in their community. 通过发展基本的领导知识和技能, students will positively contribute to their own and each other's 发展, 获得对彼此和他人的尊重.
Each co-curricular competency is met by assessing whether students have accomplished the learning outcomes associated with that particular competency. Assessment is done through combining student reflections from co-curricular transcripts with the event and club or organization participation on PioHub.
All the competencies also line up with the larger institutional goals, also known as 利记sbo's Academic Promise: The 5 Key Intellectual Skills.
The Co-Curricular Transcript is a comprehensive record of a student's leadership experiences and campus involvement while an undergraduate student. It is a supplement to their academic transcript in that it keeps track of the involvements throughout their University career along with the dates and any personal reflections associated with the particular involvements.
While an academic transcript is a document detailing the classes you've taken, 他们的日期和你得到的分数, the co-curricular transcript should have the experiences you participated in that added to your knowledge and interaction skills, along with their dates and a personal reflection explaining how it made you feel, 你学到了什么?, 或者你得到了什么. Some activities are automatically populated to your transcript, though you can also manually add any involvements to enhance your involvement record.
The Co-Curricular Transcript is a document of non-academic activities that encourages students to reflect on the skills and values they learn through involvement outside the classroom. It is designed as a means of recognizing and tracking out-of-class learning, 发展, and contributions during a students’ Universityuni career.
This is an excellent way to record co-curricular accomplishments in order to evaluate your career choices and get ahead when applying to jobs and looking for internships. You don't have to strain to remember everything you did early on if you add experiences as they happen and use the co-curricular transcript to help create your resume.
特别是如果你在帖子中添加了反思, you'll better remember how that particular experience enhanced your education and can use those to create more documents like cover letters and personal statements.
任何学生组织, 体育, 办公室, and committees you’re involved with that have a PioHub account will automatically be posted on your personal co-curricular transcript. It will update which positions you have held and keep track of how long you’re a member.
To add additional accomplishments to your Co-Curricular Transcript in PioHub, go the the "My Involvement" tab in the navigation bar on your user profile page, 点击“体验”.” Each experience you create will also appear on the transcript automatically.
保存和打印成绩单副本时, you can hide certain experiences or take away entire topics to make the content appropriate for your use at the time. 你也可以创建多个成绩单副本, and save them as real PDF documents to use to supplement resumes and internship or job applications.
